The Dragonfly Maze

While visiting Bourton-on-the-Water, we visited The Dragonfly Maze. Not just a maze but a maze with a treasure hunt. Would we be able to find the Golden Dragonfly?

The Dragonfly Maze opened in 1997 and is a traditional yew hedge maze with a difference. The half a mile of pathways include 14 numbered clues of a rebus puzzle. Find all the numbered flagstones and you will discover how to find the hidden Golden Dragonfly within the maze.

What makes the maze even more special is that Kit Williams designed and created the beautiful centre piece for the maze. Kit Williams is the artist and author, who famously wrote and illustrated “Masquerade”, published in 1975.

The venue suggests allowing 20 – 50 minutes to complete the maze.
