Recently we acquired a the Adventures of Robin Hood jigsaw by Bepuzzled. This is one of the Buried Blueprints From The Past range. This one features a detailed picture of Sherwood Forest as imagined by artist Al Lorenz. Turns out the puzzle picture is the same as on the box, so no real mystery in putting it together.
The Plot
The Adventures of Robin Hood, a puzzle of epic intrigue and conspiracy. King John has taken over the throne and forced you deep into Sherwood Forest. There, you gather your merry men. While the nobles in their jewels, dance and play, the poor look only to you.
Each piece brings you closer to your goal, the downfall of the evil King. With rich men’s gold in your coffers, you step up for the attack. Drawing your bow taut, this is your final chance. Set your sights on the target and take aim at the final piece.
Artist Albert Lorenz has brought Robin Hood and his Merry Men, Maid Marion and the Sheriff of Nottingham together in this drawing – full of detail and comments on the people and places featured, a list of the equipment the men would have carried, information about Sherwood Forest and other little snippets to add to the enjoyment of this puzzle.
As noted on Amazon :- Lorenz is known for the incredible detail in his illustrations. He studied, and practised, architecture before setting up his own illustration studio in 1971. He has produced a wide range of art including illustrations for newspapers, magazines, advertising, book covers and children’s books, as well as illustrations for architects. ‘The Adventures of Robin Hood’ one of the incredible drawings found in ‘Buried Blueprints: Maps and Sketches of Lost Worlds and Mysterious Places’ a book by Albert Lorenz and Joy Schleh which contains 14 fold out illustrations of myth, legend and literature.
Hi! Do you know if it’s possible to get a copy of the paperwork that should be with this puzzle? I picked it up at my local thrift store, intrigued by the ‘mystery’ aspect, but don’t know what I’m solving due to the lack of instruction!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry I can’t help with your missing paperwork as i’ve passed on my copy of this puzzle. It was a fun jigsaw to complete though
