Exit – The Secret Lab

Lots has been said about medical research recently, so it seemed fair to try an escape room involving medical research……..

As volunteers for a medical research study, you report to a lab as instructed. But no one is there except for you! Vapor rises from a test tube and you start feeling dizzy. When you wake up again, the door is locked, and you discover a notebook and a strange disk… Can you solve the riddles left for you by a previous research volunteer and escape the lab?

so begins Exit: The Game – The Secret Lab

Exit Games contain a code wheel, a leaflet of clues, and decks of cards containing puzzles, answers and hints. As with other titles in the series, The Secret Lab is not re-playable since some of the components get marked/folded/cut during the game.

In theory, Exit can be played by up to 6 players but we played The Secret Lab with two of us. This worked well and I would suggest a maximum of of four players, so no-one feels left out and everyone gets a chance to see the book.

We found the game very enjoyable. We only needed a couple of nudges to get us on the right track but found we could complete the game without many hints. Having said that, it doesn’t mean the puzzles were easy. Some were very challenging, but all lead to a fun afternoon of game play.
