A bit of a spin on the idea of electric sheep, this autumn there is currently an art trail of Illuminated Sheep across Northumberland.
Illuminated Sheep
Illuminated Sheep by artist Deepa Mann-Kler started as a visual arts celebration inspired by the arrival of the Lindisfarne Gospels. The first trail took place in the autumn of 2022. September 2024
This new arts trail sees the Illuminated Sheep positioned in various locations along Hadrian’s Wall during September 2024. As soon as they heard about the trail, the City Adventurers were very keen to start a rural treasure hunt.
October 2024
When the Art Trail ends, the Illuminated Sheep will gather as a full flock artwork. Their urban adventure will take them to
- Toffee Factory | Thursday 3 & Friday 4 October (5 – 8pm)
- Segedunum | Friday 11 & Saturday 12 October (6 – 9pm)
- Newcastle Cathedral | Tuesday 22 – Thursday 24 October (6.30 – 8.30pm)
