When the City adventurers set off for a few days in York, we had no idea it would coincide with the York Ice Trail 2023.
Taking place from Saturday 4th February to Sunday 5th February, this years event was entitled “A Journey Through Time”. The handcrafted sculptures were spread around the city, often near places of interest.
While a lot of visitors had maps showing the sculptures locations, the City Adventurers did not……but that did not deter us from spending the afternoon on an ice filled treasure hunt. We found so many amazing sculptures, it was a fun way to explore the city.
And the next morning, just like Raymond Briggs Snowman, they were gone. Not even a puddle to show they had existed.
